Spring is in the air

I have finally given up on winter and accepted that it's time to welcome back the spring.  With the spring collection of clothes now available from the website, I am here to talk you through the perfect capsule wardrobe for your little ones.

Spring 2022 is all about fresh prints and pastel shades... so let's get started!

A romper is always a great place to start.  It's a versatile all-in-one that works for cold spring days as well as those days that the sun is splitting the stones!  Loose fitting and ideal for layering up.  Every tot needs at least 1 romper in their wardrobe.

Leggings or joggers?  This is all about getting the perfect fit.  My eldest was definitely a joggers child... a big lad, who always needed a little bit of extra room in his clothes.  My youngest, on the other hand, is a skinny little man and leggings are perfect for his slim figure.  Whichever trouser style you choose, add long sleeved tops and cosy jumpers in different colours to create different looks.

Finally, tops!  I have a new t-shirt pattern for 2022 that has been getting rave reviews from my testers... and, as an added bonus, it's also available as a t-shirt dress.  Finished with long sleeves (I may have given up for winter, but let's face it, we're not quite ready for bare skin yet!) and a cowl neck, these t-shirts are perfect for days spent exploring the outdoors.

Last but not least, finish off your child's ensemble with accessories.  Whether it's a matching bib for a baby, pompom hat for an older tot or a pair of bloomers for your toddler, there is something for everyone.  Accessories truly make the outfit!

There 4 new prints available for your to choose from this spring:

Fluffy sheep, Wild meadow, Puddle ducks and Mama koala.

Having designed 3 of the prints myself, I know that they work very well together, so finishing your wardrobe couldn't be easier.  Light grey and olive green are fantastic colours for spring and will work really well with these prints.  Denim and beige are also ideal, if you want to stick to neutral colours.  Just a few plain tops and trousers will give you endless combinations to choose from.

This is just one example of creating a capsule wardrobe for spring.  I have many more styles to choose from, as well as the Caledonia prints that are available all year round.  You can check out all of the Taffy Tots Clothing collections here: https://taffytotsclothing.co.uk/collections

What will you be adding to your wee one's wardrobe for this spring?
